Free Power Wheelchairs and Motorized ScootersDid you know that Medicare and your state’s Medicaid will pay every single dime of the cost of a power wheelchair for you if your doctor says that you qualify? It’s true, most people that have Medicare don’t know that if they are unable to walk because of diabetes, or have congestive heart failure (CHF) or one of a thousand different elements typically qualify for a power or motorized wheelchair absolutely FREE.
The process is simple and easy and only takes a visit to your doctor to have the prescription filled-out. Then you simply have a medical supply company fill the order and “Bingo Bango” – you’re done.
Here Are A Few Quick Tips to Make the Process Go Faster1. When making your doctors appointment always make sure that they know in advanced that the reason for the appointment is to get a prescription for a power or motorized wheelchair.2. Always make sure that your doctor has his/her staff make copies of your medical records that pertain to why you need a power or motorized wheelchair and forward them to the medical supply company you want to use.3. Make sure that the medical supply company that you want to use is aware of the type of issues that you may have so that they can provide you with the proper equipment you need. 4. Have everything faxed to the medical supply company the very same day your doctor signs the prescription, so that your delivery time can be set up faster.
And now you’re ready to become mobile again and do things for yourself with the aid of your NEW POWER OR MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR! At no cost to you when using your Medicare and Medicaid benefits.

Question by Allison P: What is a good idea for a Holloween costume for an adult in a wheelchair?
I have found several websites, with some good ideas, but I really need to see some pictures. I have a power wheelchair, and I am a 20 year old female.

What do you think? Answer below!

Personally, I’d strap a cardboard box rocket ship to my chair frame and go as an astronaut.
Or turn myself into a robot. Since it’s a power chair, you could probably get away with being a pretty badass robot.
Injured skier, Drummer, Her Royal Highness
Good luck and have fun!

I think your wheel chair, unless you want to incorprate it into the costume shouldn’t be a factor. I think you shoud dress up in the costume of your choice.
