Question by Salvador G: ALS (Lou Gherrig’s Disease) patient do not desire mobility products as their condition progresses?
I have a hypothesis. The desire to purchase products for assisted mobility devices goes down as ALS in a patient progresses. I was wondering how you all felt?

Sometime it can be denial, that if they accept the devices, it is resignation to the disease. that they are admitting that it will progress further.
Or it could be that they have resigned themselves and think, “why bother”.
My mother died of ALS and was against getting devices for a while because she was in denial. She only gave in to help out my Dad who was taking care of her.
ALS also effects the emotions and who knows what that effect has on decision-making.
