I think it’s awful that your insurance won’t cover a scooter that is clearly an aid that would improve your quality of life. Anyway, I think maybe you could contact some of the mobility businesses and state your case, ask them if they have any Program for payments or whether they would like to donate something to you (if you don’t ask you don’t get!) failing that perhaps you could get some friends and family involved to do something sponsored in your name, they could then ask local businesses to get involved…I know you are not a charity case and I don’t mean any offence whatsoever by this but I’m sure if people knew how much this meant to you and how much it would change your life then they would be more than happy to help your cause..if you pass me some details of where you are in the states perhaps I could help with some liaison with local companies for you see if we can’t get a little sponsorship….good luck either way I really hope you get what you need
